Welcome to Western!

    Transitions 2016 Dates:

We are pleased that you have chosen Western, and look forward to you joining our campus community! To launch your Western experience, plan to attend Transitions, your orientation, advising, and class registration program for incoming transfer students. Transitions also includes a Family Orientation and we encourage you to invite your family to participate.

Reservations for Transitions 2016 are now closed.

If you are unable to attend Transitions, your next opportunity to register for fall classes will be during Phase II Registration which begins August 30th. On July 26th after Transitions, you will be sent additional instructions regarding academic advising and registration via your WWU email account. Here are your next steps for advising and registration assistance:

1. Contact Academic Advising:

Beginning on July 26th students can call the Academic Advising Center at 360-650-3850 to schedule an appointment with an advisor. During your appointment you will have the chance to review how your credits transfer to Western, plan for your major, and prepare for registration beginning on August 30th at 8:00am.

2. Complete the Missed Orientation Advising Online Video:

Before arriving for your scheduled advising appointment, you must first review some general advising information and policies online. If prior to your advising appointment you have not completed the Missed Orientation Advising online video, your appointment will be rescheduled. You will need your student ID number (WID) to access the video. Allow yourself approximately 30 minutes to complete watch the video. 3. Explore Additional Online Advising Resources:

You are also encouraged to check out the online resources provided in the Advising & Registration Introduction online advising module you were sent before Transitions via email. Use your universal login to access the module. For Transfer students, enter here; for Post-Baccalaureate students, enter here.

No longer attending Western?If your academic plans have changed and you no longer plan to attend Western in the fall, please contact the Admissions Office to confirm your withdrawal from the university. You may send an email to: to confirm your withdrawal.
