Directions
- From Interstate-5, take exit 252: Samish Way/WWU
- Follow WWU direction signs to Bill McDonald Parkway (left off Samish Way) and left over Interstate-5
- Complimentary parking will be available in the C gravel lots on south campus
- Pay parking will be available in the 7G, 3R or 4R lots on north campus
Parking
Complimentary parking will be available in the C gravel lots on south campus. After your reservation has been processed, you will be sent an official Summerstart parking permit. To avoid ticketing, you MUST display your permit on the dashboard of your car.For convenience, you may prefer to park in the 7G, 3R or 4R lots located adjacent to the residence halls on north campus. You may purchase a two-day permit upon arrival for $20 at the closest parking pay box.

Overnight Accommodations
Students will be housed in the Nash and Mathes residence halls. Family members who are confirmed to stay overnight on campus will be housed in the adjacent Higginson residence hall. All overnight accommodations are shared, and include bed and bath linens. Please bring your own personal toiletries.
Local Accommodations
While we encourage your family members to stay overnight on campus by participating in our Family Orientation with Overnight, they may prefer accommodations in the greater Bellingham area. For a list of local accommodations, visit www.nssfo.wwu.edu/bellingham.shtml.

Items to Bring
- Your confirmation card (forthcoming)
- Valid photo ID and your Social Security number
- #2 pencil and $25 (cash or check only) for the Math Placement Test
- Your Universal Account username and password
- Your Transfer Equivalency Report and a copy of any college transcripts (if applicable)
- Your parking permit required for the C lots (forthcoming)
- Comfortable clothing and shoes, a water bottle
- A raincoat or umbrella
- Personal toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.)
- A notepad and pen
