Spring Advising & Orientation

Spring Advising & Orientation (Spring A&O) is for new first-year (freshmen), transfer, and postbaccalaureate students and supports your transition to campus with an academic advising and campus orientation program. Spring A&O offers a streamlined process for new students to meet with campus staff to learn about critical campus and advising resources, receive academic advising support to build class schedules, and prepare for the class registration process. You’ll also have time in the day to visit the Associated Students Bookstore and other campus resource offices and support services.

Mark your calendar to attend Spring Advising & Orientation 2018:

  • Friday, February 23rd (Transfer & Postbacc Students)
  • Friday, March 2nd (Transfer & Postbacc Students)
  • Monday, April 2nd (Freshmen, Transfer, & Postbacc Students)

Spring Advising & Orientation is designed to help you begin your Western experience with confidence and success. Your participation will help you feel more comfortable and prepared to begin your career at Western. We encourage you to explore this website to help you prepare and to make your reservation.

New students are assigned a time and date for class registration based on the number of credits, and the Registrar’s Office website listing the Registration Schedule is a helpful resource. More detailed information about the program will begin to display in early January 2018 on the New Student Services/Family Outreach website. Spring Quarter 2018 classes begin on Tuesday, April 3.

Spring Advising & Orientation programs will open in late January 2018

We look forward to meeting with you and helping you plan for a great first quarter at Western! For other questions about the transition to Western, please contact New Student Services ⁄ Family Outreach by e-mail or at 360.650.3846.
