Student Coordinator of Web Development and Reservations

Position: Student Coordinator of Reservations & Web Development
Reports to: Assistant Director, New Student Services/Family Outreach (NSSFO)
Hours/Week: 40+ hours/week at times during the summer; approximately 13 hours/week during the fall, winter and spring. Must be available for all program dates, some of which occur during weekend and evening hours.
Start date: Part-time training with current Student Coordinator begins in July; full-time position begins in August.
Position Description:
As a member of the NSSFO office staff and team, the Student Coordinator of Reservations and Web Development is responsible for developing and maintaining the NSSFO Web site, as well as coordinating all orientation program reservations, participant information and check-in procedures. With support and direction from NSSFO’s Information Technology Specialist and the Registrar’s Office, he/she utilizes the Banner student record system to enter data, extract information and produce reports/labels. He/she also works closely with two additional Student Coordinators to provide general leadership, planning and support for all NSSFO programs and activities. These include all new student orientation programs, quarterly phoneathons, Family Weekends, Orientation Student Advisor activities and general office support.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Be a student in good academic standing
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Confidence utilizing computer technology; ability to learn new software programs as needed
- Strong computer usage skills with a basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Banner student record system, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, CSS and HTML would be highly beneficial
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Strong organization skills with particular attention to details and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently
- Familiarity with University organization and structure
- Must be available for all orientation training and program dates (see above)
Direct Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain NSSFO Web site
- Coordinate all orientation program reservations, participant information and check-in procedures
- Utilize the Banner student record system to enter data, extract information and produce reports/labels
- Provide excellent customer service in the office, over the phone and during all program activities
- Maintain professional correspondence with other University departments and administrators
- Serve as a positive role model and representative of NSSFO and WWU
- Special projects as assigned
General Position Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning and development of all NSSFO programs and activities
- Participate in the recruitment, selection and mentorship of Orientation Student Advisors
- Take initiative in proposing program changes, modifications and improvements
- General office support, other duties as assigned

Wage: $11.00/hour

Start date: Part-time training with current Student Coordinator begins in July; full-time position begins in August
Position Description:
As a member of the NSSFO office staff and team, the Student Coordinator of Training and Development is responsible for coordinating the recruitment, selection, training and development of the Orientation Student Advisor (OSA) team. He/she provides ongoing mentorship, communication, outreach and support to the OSA team. In collaboration with the Assistant Director and Director, he/she assists with developing and facilitating the spring quarter OSA training course, as well as program-specific training sessions. He/she also works closely with two additional Student Coordinators to provide general leadership, planning and support for all NSSFO programs and activities. These include all new student orientation programs, quarterly phoneathons, Family Weekends, Orientation Student Advisor activities and general office support.

Wage: $9.35 – 9.75/hour depending on experience
