Earth Day

Celebrate Earth Day with us this year!
Who: Western students, Alumni and Bellingham community members
What: Earth Day is a national day of service and Western coordinates an annual spring quarter service-learning project in conjunction with national events. Western students will team up with alumni and community members to form work parties that address environmental issues through community service.
When: Earth Day will be held on Saturday, April, 18th. 8:30 to 12:00
Where: PAC Plaza at 8:30. A continental breakfast will be provided as well as shuttle transportation for the farther project sites in the community. The service projects will go until 12:00.
Why: There are many reasons why you should get involved, here are just a few.
- Celebrate your Earth by being involved in this national day of service.
- Raise your own awareness of environmental issues.
- Come and be a part of the commitment so many other Western students have made to environmental issues and sustainability.
- Surveys show that 75% of incoming students want to get involved in community service. With so many people getting involved this is a great way to meet new friends and make connections.
